Connect Vision International Limited ‘We’ are respecting and protecting your privacy, our company is defined in section 1159 of the UK companies Act 2006. 

This notice sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us, whether we are in the process of helping you find a job, continuing our relationship with you once we have found you a role, providing you with a service, receiving a service from you, using your data to ask for your assistance in relation to one of our candidates, or you are visiting our website.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) is a  regulation which replaced the Data Protection Regulation (Directive 95/46/EC). The Regulation aims to harmonise data protection legislation across EU member states, enhancing privacy rights for individuals and providing a strict framework within which commercial organisations can legally operate.

Even though the UK left the EU in December 2019, the GDPR was applicable in the UK from 25th May 2018, and the UK Government intends for the GDPR to continue in UK law post Brexit and has also introduced a Data Protection Bill to replace the current Data Protection Act in due course. Connect Vision operates across the EU and complies fully with all EU and specific country regulations.

Your rights under the GDPR are set out in this notice. Please read the below statement thoroughly to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

Who we are and what we do:

Connect Vision is an international recruitment business. We provide exceptional resourcing services across the globe. We collect information about you to carry out our central business and supplemental activities. We collect the personal data of the following types of people to allow us to undertake our business;

• Candidates;
• Supplier contacts to support our services;
• Employees & temporary workers;
• Clients 

Information you give or we retain about you

There are numerous ways you can share your information with us. These may include:

• Entering your details on the Connect Vision International website or via an application form, as part of the registration process;
• Leaving a hard copy CV or business card at a Connect Vision International event or office;
• Emailing your CV to a Connect Vision International consultant or being interviewed by them;
• Applying for jobs through a job aggregator (such as Indeed, JobServe), which then redirects you to the Connect Vision International website or a Job Board (such as JobServe, Indeed, Total Jobs, Reed, CV Library or LinkedIn) which directly emails your application to a Connect Vision International consultant;

This is information about you that you give us by filling in forms on our site www.connectvisionrec.com (our site) or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. It includes information you provide when you register to use our site, subscribe to our services, attend our events, participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on our site, enter a competition, promotion or survey, and when you report a problem with our site.

The information you give us or we retain about you may include your name, private and corporate e-mail address and phone number and references verifying your qualifications and experience and your right to work in the United Kingdom or any other country, curriculum vitae and photographic identification, links to your professional profiles available in the public domain, e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter,  Facebook or corporate/professional website.

Information we retain about you when you visit our website

With regard to each of your visits to our site we will automatically collect the following information: technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information if applicable, browser type and version & information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URLs).

Information we obtain from other sources

We are working closely with third parties including companies within our Group, business partners, sub-contractors, recruitment process outsourcers (RPO), payment, forex and other service providers, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, credit reference agencies, professional advisers and others. We may receive information about you from them for the purposes of our principal services and ancillary support services.

Purposes of the processing and the legal basis for the processing

We use information held about you in the following ways:

Client Data:

If you are a Connect Vision International customer, we need to collect and use information about you, or individuals at your organisation, in the course of providing you services such as: finding Candidates who are the right fit for you or your organisation; and/or notifying you of content published by Connect Vision International which is likely to be relevant and useful to you.

Supplier Data:

We need a small amount of information from our Suppliers to ensure that things run smoothly. We’ll collect the details for our contacts within your organisation, such as names, telephone numbers and email addresses. We’ll also collect bank details, so that we can pay you. We may also hold extra information that someone in your organisation has chosen to tell us.

People whose data we receive from candidates and staff, eg referees & emergency contacts:                

In order to provide Candidates with suitable employment opportunities safely and securely and to provide for every eventuality for them and our Staff, we need some basic background information. We only ask for very basic contact details, so that we can get in touch with you either for a reference or because you’ve been listed as an emergency contact for one of our Candidates or Staff members

Our Legitimate Business Interests 

Our legitimate interests in, the contractual necessity of, collecting and retaining your personal data is described below: As a compliant recruitment company, we provide recruitment opportunities across the world and are required by law to collect and maintain personal data. If we have entered into a contract with you for payment purposes the explicit details will be contained therein. To maintain, expand and develop our business we need to record the personal data of prospective contractors and client contacts.

Consent 

Should we want or need to rely on consent to lawfully process your data we will request your consent verbally, by email or by an online process for the specific activity we require consent for and record your response on our system.  Where consent is the lawful basis for our processing you have the right to withdraw your consent to this particular processing at any time.

Other Uses we will make of your data:

• To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.

We will use this information:

• Business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance and compliance obligations of any contract we enter into with them or you, this includes advisers and payment processors;
• Subcontractors including email marketing specialists, event organisers, payment and other financial service providers analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our site;

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, specifically your individual portal, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

How we safeguard your data

We are committed to taking all reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the personal information that we hold from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access. We do this by having in place a range of appropriate technical and organisational measures. These include measures to deal with any suspected data breach.

We will inform you in the unlikely event that we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes and we will collect express consent from you if legally required prior to using your personal data.

• Request correction of the personal information that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected.

What if you did not provide personal data 

You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to Connect Vision International during your application process. However, if you do not provide the information, we may not be able to process your application properly or at all.
